Hope Lutheran Church in Bozeman, Montana, supports an ambitious and rapidly growing Center for the Arts initiative co-founded and led by Dr. Maren Haynes Marchesini and John Hermanson. Rooted in Christianity, the Center for the Arts provides excellent, compelling experiences and resources that engage with spiritual practices drawn from the diverse prophetic, mystical, and Confessing streams of the Christian tradition. The Center for the Arts serves diverse, ecumenical Christian congregations in urban and rural areas to cross-pollinate between congregations, provide spiritual and liturgical renewal, and offer professional development in expansive music and worship practices.

Hope Center for the Arts aims to:

Offer retreats and workshops for congregations, creative artists, faith leaders, church musicians, and young adults

Host creative worship experiences and liturgically-informed performances

Support liturgical artists and ensembles for short- and long-term residencies to pursue creative projects intersecting interdisciplinary arts and Christian practices
