Cindy Sease has worked on the advertising side of the newspaper industry since 1977, starting at the Boulder Daily Camera in Boulder, Colorado. She spent four years at the Sioux City Journal in Iowa, then came to the Daily InterLake in Kalispell, Montana in 2000. She joined the staff of the Bozeman Daily Chronicle in 2013 and most recently held the position of Director of Revenue, Adams Publishing Group Montana, directing print and digital advertising sales operations at 15 newspapers throughout Montana. Cindy is a past congregational president at Hope Lutheran. In addition to her work at Hope, she also maintains a part-time position with Adams Publishing as Director of Sales and Training. She is a past president of the Newspaper Association of America and the Montana Newspaper Association, a past president and member of Bozeman Noon Rotary, and a past board member of Greater Gallatin United Way.
She is married to Don Barker. Her daughter, son-in-law and grandson, Lena, Mike and Dawson Romeo, are also members of Hope. In her spare time, Cindy does improv at Last Best Comedy in downtown Bozeman, where she just completed a two year stint performing regularly at the club and at festivals around the country as a member of the house team, "One Woman Show."
